Sounds like a good time none-the-less. We always have a good time! The real downer of the night was that after paying the sound guy and door guy, the venue only made something like $75, so they gave that to the touring band and gave us ZERO DOLLARS. You'd think that a club could have paid the door guy - one of their employees - out of their pockets. And, you'd think that the sound guy might take a smaller cut as well. I'm amazed that these guys thought it was OK to pay us... nothing... for playing that night - particularly after bumping us back to the last slot!

Ron - that must be fun! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> I'm hoping to end up at a small firm - like 5-6 attorneys tops. Those big firms just work guys to death and have extremely slow advancement.
Have you been playing bass much lately? Yeah I have been playing quite a bit lateley. One of the guys I shoot with alot is a great guitar player and another one of my shooting buddies plays drums. We have a cool little trio going. I really miss my old amp rig though. I may need to pick up a new rig soon.

Jeeps - that is great! My band has been gigging regularly (3 gigs in 2 weeks - one coming up on Thursday, the next is the following Tuesday!). I'm also playing in a little blues jam group as well. That eats up all of my free time, though!
Do you guys have any recordings done by chance?

The life of a musician is a difficult path. Do you guys have any recordings done by chance? We have not done any recording yet. My friend who plays guitar is so much better than I am it's almost embarrassing. But he is really cool and teaching me alot of the theory that I always neglected. I need to get a real amp. My practice amp is like 15 years old and beat down.

(If anyone is interested - my killer cocksauce recipie is: ketchup, lemon juice, worcestershire sauce, horseradish (not the mayo mix - just the raw ground horsey), and tabasco. Blend to taste!)

Mag - played a gig on Tuesday - we had a great turnout (125 or so on a week night), and we were 3rd of 4 on the bill. Then, the touring band ("Romanteek"?) decided that they needed to play first... so we ended up getting bumped to the 12:30AM slot - and played to about 30 people! LAME!!!!!!!!!!!!
