POP in fairness you didn't 'beast' another company by name.. So nothing to apologise for IMHO. Anyway if the 'others' were better we'd have less to attack them about!

POP in fairness you didn't 'beast' another company by name.. So nothing to apologize for IMHO. Anyway if the 'others' were better we'd have less to attack them about! Paul, true that!. If the other knife manufacturers had even a small clue what the buying public wanted it would all look and perform like Busse Family blades.Often imitated, NEVER duplicated. The Family knives. Each are superior in their own way. It's so incredible that one entire family has hit on the true recipe that the others are still franticly looking for. Ala the overpaid designer who gets a cut of every blade sold. They are all rank. Their designs are always bordering on ninja knives or Frost fantasy knives. Sorry folks at Frost for using your name. But get real. Who wants your $8.00 knife? How many school kids do you arm before you make a real knife that kiddies can't afford? That gets my goat! The cheap mall ninja blades that any punk with a ten dollar bill can arm himself. That's a load of crap. I believe they should be forced to make real knives with a intended purpose or not make them at all. Why attack someone who's already destroyed? The Busse Kin rule the roost when it come to Fixed Blades. and hopefully folders someday. Ahhh my first regret in life. The fact that I never bought a Rat Trap when they sat there available for months at $149.00, what a dope I was. I sat on the sidelines reading all the reviews and weighing them, when I decided to pull the trigger on one they were all gone. I watch E-Bay like mad waiting for someone to sell their "safe queen" Rat Trap at a price under 2 large. When I see that again... I will pounce! Peace.

You think of the old timers when you think of family knife makers. Buck, Case, Schrade, and others. For years that is how I grew up too. Not our children! There's a new wind in town. A wind of change so bold and daring it has shaken the blade industry to its very core.I speak of the new First Family in steel... BUSSE. Just seeing the name in print makes the reader stop browsing and focus in to see what news could be attached to the name Busse this time. The Busse family has ground the wheels of the old school makers off at the hubs. Their designs and craftsmanship are 100% custom on every knife they turn out. Each from the smallest to the AK series are in my eyes perfect in all aspects. The symmetry and character they have is bold and fresh. They have breathed new life into the stagnant world of knife making. The revolutionary introduction of INFI is nothing short of genius. Paring the steel of choice with graceful designs have made Busse knives not only stand out from the rest, but set a benchmark for the others to shoot for. Just when they thought all they had to worry about was Jerry Busse, the [censored] really hit the fan. Seems his family wanted more for the industry as well. Enter Swamp Rat Knife Works. Sending the blade world screaming at board rooms across the nation. How do we stop them? What can we do to compete? Sniveling attempts were made. Bringing high dollar blade designers in to pump new life into their dying knife line only made me wonder when THEY would stop! Taking nothing away from the highest paid knife designers, but when it is mass produced even with their design, it just looks like another Frost wonder knife to me. Almost laughable. Fast forward to 2006 and the day of reckoning comes yet again as Dan and Patti Busse kick down the doors of the old school makers yet again and announce "It's Busse time again! With the inception of Scrap Yard Knife Company another slap in the face of the establishment comes yet again.Scrap Yards fresh and innovative use of SR-77 with their own proprietary fusion process make it one of the premier steels to be dealt with in quite some time. Shaking and shivering the old schoolers must retire back to their board rooms and dimly lit design rooms to see what they can possibly come up with to stop the Busse Juggernaut. My advise to them is do nothing. Stop wasting your money on high paid big name designers and do something about your quality, your steels and above all your customer satisfaction. The Busse Family owns you all right now and you know it's true. They fight to keep up with orders and you all struggle to sell your $30.00 knives at Wal Mart. God Bless the Busse Family for turning the knife world around and starting the entire industry down a better path. This is my .02 cents!
Peace. I am humbled by your words. Remember, we welcome all makers because they will continue to set and raise the bar for you the customers. I want the ScrapYard Performance to Price Ratio to be top of mind for makers and customers alike. In this way, we will all benefit. Dan

"I want the ScrapYard Performance to Price Ratio to be top of mind for makers and customers alike. In this way, we will all benefit."
And that is exactly why your company will succeed where others have come and gone. Your personal commitment to change the status quo in the industry will sow the seeds of success for you. Being honest and open with your customer base. Staying in touch with the people who buy and use your products is another way that sets you apart. It's more than just your devotion to the Performance to Price ratio it's all the little things you all do that makes your client base so devoted and involved with your company. That commitment on your part has created this Busse Juggernaut that is rolling over all the other profit minded makers. They raise their prices, steal designs, and remain aloof all the while wondering why their sales are lagging.Your way of doing business creates a tough client base who feel apart of you family. Who take it personally when something or someone upsets or offends you. You have customers who care so much about you as people and that will give you the client base they will never know. One built on love and respect. You are successful for many reasons Dan, but most of all it's because of who you are as a man that makes us rally around you and yours. Thanks for all the little things you do. Peace.
