I hope nobody looks too closely at my grinds. Every darned one of the asymmetrical to some degree. They cut well, though.

Here's my latest grinding. It's one of my sharpest yet. I cut myself (shaved up a piece of skin) shaving hairs off my arm - I've never done that before. It's a blatant knockoff of the SAR4 albeit miniaturized. I had the lanyard hole in the rear, but the handle would too small for my hands if I cut away the micarta to expose it. It's made from 0.138" A2, and it's my first full convex grind. The DM was my first power-reprofiling job of any of my scrapyards or swamp rats. It turned out ok, I guess. Anyhoo, here are the pics:

Thanks, mag. I REALLLY want a SAR, but can't justify the cost.

It's a slicer, not a beater; it's got a THIN edge.

i have been a supporter of thin knives for some time here in the yard. you know i have a long hunter?

once my laredo is gone, it'll be my primary fighter. it's already my primary kitchen knife.

The blade length on the long hunter is 8"? or is it 7"?
