I think what he was saying is sometimes a charge can be applied and not show up right away. I know that happens on my card sometimes. Nope, I have the ability to see what has been charged to my account seconds after it has been charged. It won't show the details of the transaction. However, it'll show the name of the business and the amount that's been charged.

Why does the yard wait until they ship to charge your card? I just assumed that it happened when I put in my order.Do all businesses do that or is it a yard policy?

Why does the yard wait until they ship to charge your card? I just assumed that it happened when I put in my order.Do all businesses do that or is it a yard policy? I'm not sure if it's a fed or state law but in some places it's not legal to charge a CC until the order has shipped. Most Reputable business adhere to this policy as a matter of fact law or not. Legally, you cannot charge the credit card until the order is ready to ship, it's federal law; consumer protection act of 1976 I believe. Not all businesses adhere to this law. However, it's only a problem with questionable businesses.
