Art - my wife and I are big Sherlock Holmes fans too! We found the complete collection of Jeremy Brett version on eBay. We think Brett is the BEST Holmes ever - even better than Basil Rathbone. And Dr. Watson isn't the bumbling fool as in the Rathbone version. After all, he was a doctor and long-time associate of Holmes, and Holmes would not abide fools. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> We also have the complete book of Holmes. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Lost my Internet for the last hour+. I love Sherlock Holmes. I have read them all, and have the Jeremy Brett PBS series, which I found truly outstanding. Sherlock would have been even more effective with an S5, no doubt!

Yeah the Rathbone ones took Holmes to areas that were not consistent with the stories. I hated their representation of Watson, too. The Brett series is terrific. Too bad his health deteriorated.

I went black black but the I like the green. Since it'll be a user it won't matter though, lol. Yeah, this is what I was thinking, too. The blade color is just going to wear off after a while, so the handle color was really my focus. Being 5", every section of the S5 blade is going to be worked pretty hard.
