Did it ruin it, or were you able to recover?

Dont like the FFBM that much, to thick and feels just heavy. Prefer the CGFBM
Whats your favorite big knife?

It's really hard for me to choose a large knife, because I don't yet own any. I would probably go for a chopper-focused big blade because of my general intended use - I have folders for the fine slicing in the field. I am just starting my interest in fixed blades, so all that could change. I have been pushing on the forums pleading for Dan to do a DF run so that we all can buy a few as desired. It seems pretty versatile with a good balance between size and weight. The Chopweiler got my interest because of its general size.

DF is a great allround knife with a sweet pricetag <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /><img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />
As I see it a knife with 6-8" is to small for chopping and to big for carving. My friend got a Fallkniven A1 with a 6" blade. Itīs not better for carving than a Trailmaster but it is big enough to be clumsy and the TM is much better at chopping. So for me theres no reason to buy that bladesize.
A machete and a small knife is hard to beat <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

To small to be good at chopping and to big to be good at carving.

Does anyone currently watching the Death Channel have a Chopweiler? I am really anxious to get something larger than the S5s that will be coming, and saw a few for sale on bladeforums after some Dogs encouraged me to take a look. Yes, I've got several. Good knives and in my prefered SR101.

I have a chance to get a muddy blade Chopweiler. It's been through 2 owners, but the seller says it is never used, never sharpened. That seems strange. Do people really just collect these things and never utilize them?

Wow. I like the muddy blade look. I just might pull the trigger on a Chopweiler.
