I have the teeniest chip on the edge of my DMDC. It kind of pisses me off. You can barely see it, but if you run your nail along the edge (carefully) you can feel it. Should I stop being annoyed? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif" alt="" />

Being the classic that it is I would be annoyed also. Then, I would go out and beat it to all hell to purty it up some. Now that it has battle scars, much more beautiful <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

My camera won't macro, so no, but it's fine. All I ever did with it was baton some 4x4's and slice paper.
I love the knife though, don't get me wrong.
The S5 was going to replace it as my hiking blade anyway.
I'm being petty, the "chip" is very, very small. You have to really look close.

That was after 2 drops from a 6 ft height into 50 yr old concrete floor. Took out some decent chunks of concrete. It's the SOD btw.

If the chip annoys you that much, sharpen it out. Easy solution. On another note, I am way too generous. SoD's are selling on the Exchange for 200 bucks, and I let mine go at cost <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" />

SoD's are selling on the Exchange for 200 bucks, and I let mine go at cost <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" /> Lol I can't even sell my SOD LE for 200.... I have an offer for 190 I'm thinking about, even though I withdrew the knife.

I'd be surprised if it chipped, unless you took the steel down way thin.

I let her go. I'm not too worried about it. I still have the tan CG which I like more actually. Still though, people aren't spending the money they used to even a few months back for these things.
