I like the sheath so far but all I've done is inspect it visually and slid the Dogfather in and out a few times! It does have a plastic insert. The fit is snug against the spine with just a hint of rattle on the edge side. The velcro strap keeps it snug. The next few weeks will tell how tuff the sheath will be.

The knife is a bit lighter than I expected (compared to my FBM) which is a plus for me because I will be using it in the field extensively for awhile.

So the big question is how well does the FBM fit in the Dog Father sheath?

My Dog Fathers arrived today. That's the good news. The bad news is that they were delivered to my wife. There is only one day a week when she gets home before me and this is it. Ooops. Now I have some serious explaining to do.
None the less, it is a very impressive knife. I would say more except that I need to change my clothes and go outside to chop something.

All I can say Rich is DUCK!! It's ok however now you have to go out and get her something. By the way I love Tom Baker.... Do you own a scarf?

No, but I wish I did. One of my daughters started making me one once upon a time, but she didn't get very far before losing interest.
