it's taken me almost a week to decide on the sitka <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />. i think i will buy a second pak and the jumbo looks perfect. i'm thinking this one may end up with a laptop in it every now and then and the sitka seems to fit the bill.

I'm probably running to harbor freight tomorrow to at least see if they carry the cheap belt sander - I was working on putting a convex edge on my NMSFNO by hand tonight, and it was just taking too much time. I either need a belt sander or a more efficient method for my hand sanding. Very cool, double M. That should really speed things up. I saw some videos on the youtube nutnfancy channel of a guy named john franzen in utah sharpening people's blades in his shop. It seems pretty fast once you get the hang of it.

at the spyderco factory outlet, all the hossom blades were 50% off. They were tempting me, but I am trying to stay true to the SYK fixed blade knives (even though I own zero at this point). Spydercos are my folders. What did you think of the Hossoms? That big one looks like a hunk a steel! The Hossom's are pretty cool looking. I am not sure how their steel (European N690Co) compares to what we get from SYK. Blade shape seems to attempt to be more of an all things to all people versus a specific focus. Yeah the larger one (Forester) would be something I might consider at 50% off if we don't get a Dogfather run soon.

If Vox was feeling generous he'd sell me that SnG right, lol alas he could do way better putting on BF or eBay. You can always call their store. I think the sale runs through this month, at least. Inventory reduction. Comes with a decent sheath, too.
