I spent around 2k at the Busse booth, but two hundred or so of that was for knives that went to other people.
If the Wakis were for sale, I would have easily spent another 800. The thing that would probably keep me around $1000 is that I have to constrain myself so that I don't go overboard, and it would make me focus on specific blade type acquisitions. I could easily see myself going the full spectrum from the kitchen to the yard to the great outdoors if I don't MAKE myself focus on my most immediate desires.

There were some AMAZING damascus fillet knives at one of the custom smiths' tables - I didn't even bother to ask what they cost, because it had to be a lot, and I REALLY wanted to take them home.

So, it really bugs me that I can't search the forum for sale area as a general registrant. I was trying to sift through to see if there were any reasonably priced DFs, but I have to click through every title that seems potentially relevant to see what's listed. I guess they must somehow need funds for all the traffic to put that site up or something? But, losing search makes it really difficult.
