The atari 2600 rules to this day. I loved all those basic games that atari cranked out in its glory years. There was a very interesting 1 hour news story (maybe 60 minutes, Dateline, PBS or something like that) that revisited their ascent with the video game explosion. The mass production of microchips and ROMs led to cheap entertainment. They had a lot of creative energy in their initial team.

You know, I think one can purchase a joystick that has many of the original games embedded within it at Walmart. I almost bought one of those last month. You just plug it into a front panel video port on your TV and away you go!

I got one of those as a present, a few years ago. It doesn't do me much good, since I don't have a TV, but they ought to be a lot of fun for most people.

You might be able to find an adapter to plug it into your computer monitor, if you wanted to. It probably depends upon the kinds of inputs and outputs that you have available.

So, the Chopweiler should arrive some time later this week. I am going to put it through some paces via yard work as soon as it arrives, and try to take some photos along the way.
