Iīm not collecting knives or swords, just buying new ones and testing them in the search of the perfect knife, if there is one. To find the perfect one I have to try them all, right? haha itīs a neverending search...

What is the precise definition of a "sword"? Are there certain dimensions, blade styles, handles that are necessary?

At least, I think that it would be, for me.

Is it to small itīs called a dagger even if it looks like a sword. Itīs a good question and I donīt know a good answer

I think a Coldsteel trailmaster with a 12" blade in INFI would be better. FBM blades are to wide, hard to carve with them

I am afraid that the dictionary doesn't provide much clarity, so we can define it to be almost any blade that we want: 1: a weapon (as a cutlass or rapier) with a long blade for cutting or thrusting that is often used as a symbol of honor or authority 2 a: an agency or instrument of destruction or combat b: the use of force <the pen is mightier than the sword E. G. Bulwer-Lytton> 3: coercive power 4: something that resembles a sword

Me and my brother have talked about what is the perfect blade, and 12" long and narrow, like the trailmaster but 5-6mm thick with convex scandigrind would be really good. Only one way to find out, order a custom blade from Busse <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I wonder what the cost of a custom would be? 2-3x the cost of a standard model, maybe, or would it be more?
