That's my take.
To which a few a have been enthusiastically receptive, and most of the rest have been hostilely antagonistic. BUT most of those who have been hostilely antagonistic have said that they don't think my pictures break the rules, and said that they still see how they can apply the rules to my pictures. To which I've told them, as politely as I could, that they seem to have missed my points.
So, now I'm about to try to explain to them a different way. In science, they call the "rules" game the difference between a hypothesis and a fact. Until proven, a hypothesis is nothing more than (hopefully, at least) an educated guess based on observation. It's not accepted as fact until scientifically proven. It's not an "innocent until proven guilty" paradigm that we use in the realm of facts. Raoul, Tonight is not the night for me to get into this, but I disagree with what you just wrote. Some time, soon, I will share with you a rant about epistemology that is far longer and more technical than the composition debate.
