Just finished up an evening of bike work!

Checked my valve clearances and got new shims ordered.
Shimmed the needle in the carb and drilled out the vacuum hole to improve throttle response.
Removed the mixture screw and replaced it with a thumb adjust model
(Did I mention the new screw was from a harley performance shop? I bet they would have canceled my order if they knew. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> )
Installed the new skid plate

Really cool thing is that it still starts and runs! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" /><img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

few more parts and you might as well call the whole bike a harley!

I love it when that happens. My Harley has Japanese forks, shocks, and electrical system. You know what they say, it's a global market.

i hate to enter with a sad note but i lost another family member today. this is the third in 3 1/2 weeks. this time it was a uncle on my fathers side. i don't know his exact age and we weren't very close but it is a sudden death. the other 2 on my mothers side and also taken without warning.

3 funerals in 30 days doesn't fell good...

i am just going to take this as a sign to spend more time with my family.

i hope you guys will do the same.
