Last night I heard something in the living room, and I thought crap what could those dogs ( I have two dobermans) be getting into. What did I leave out? One of them pulled the box that my strop and compound was shipped in, off the table. They ate a FULL stick of green compound and 3/4 of the black bar!!! I guess they were full or didn't like the taste of the black as much. I was glad to see they did't mess with the strop. Upon seeing me they fled under the table, they knew I was pissed. It was pretty much a brand new stick, so I need to order more green......I just got that one. Off all thing to eat? My wife took the larger one for a walk and explained to me that a mysterious green substance was deposited during the excursion. I just laughed. Thought I would share.

PS Dogs are fine just have very well polished bowels...lol

I chipped my first piece of SR-101, which also happened to be my first Bussekin blade... but I tried to baton it through a hardened masonry nail embedded in a well seasoned birch log

Just tell me you didn't know it was there until .... TOO LATE!!!!

Yeah, I had no idea it was there - I kept pounding, thinking I had hit a stubborn knot. The tree was completely grown over the nail, with no sign whatsoever that there was anything there.

Heard that ...I have taken huge chunks out of machetes chopping through trees that have embedded barbed wire, staples and fencing in them....Of course, we do have the dreaded dried Brazilian pepper tree..I would put it up against ironwood any day... dull a chain saw in a hurry....

Man, I can relate as we have a few four legged "children" too. I love them, but there are times that I want to slap the fire out of them. I guess it is kinda fitting that the dogs got it, as the steel dogs were going to get some of it too.

That is who I use when I get to take pics and want to post them. I love PB. Easy to use which is really important for me
