Yesterday I had the privilege to spend some time with my father. He told some stories I have heard many times before but it was different on this occasion. I saw them from his eyes looking back at the traumatic childhood he had, he should have been dead many, many, many times. Some friends dropped by and heard the stories as well. My family has a lot to be thankful for, I feel for those who lose their loved ones so tragically. I am glad I am in a mindset to be grateful for the time I have with my family.
