Both of mine are single wall 32 oz backpack. They are definably single wall and I have put them on a stove and fire and boiled water.
I know the picture quality is bad but here it goes:

Everything is possible and failure is not an option.

I won't be getting rid of my Nalgene bottles anytime soon. http://www.snopes.com/medical/toxins/petbottles.asp

While I like the idea of the stainless steel, or aluminum bottles I'll wait to spend my money when my nalgene's are all but used up. And I've got a lot of bottles.

When I originally heard about this a few years ago, the studies showed a danger of hormone leeching into foods that were heated in plastic containers (like in the microwave oven). That was based on studies done and published in Europe. They linked it to problems with male infertility. The report then was that this material was used in everything from soda bottles to tupperware to baby bottles, but that the main danger was in using the container to heat things in. The studies seem to have expanded since then.

I do know that with the progression of this news, Guyot stainless steel bottles have become difficult for us to get. It's hard to know what to believe with all the "experts" arguing.

You need to get on some backpacking/vegan sites Leatherface.
Then you could end up with a boxcar full of Nalgene bottles.
