DF and S6 are supposed to be regular production knives. You'll probably just have to take my word on it as I don't think I'll be able to find it. I'm sure others will remember this...

I went with 5 as well, but the actual count will depend on several factors that I haven't yet unraveled: military orders (could be lower in 2008?), blade size and quantity (I'm guessing there is something like an upper-limit on steel-inches ground per unit time), the exact size of the Busse Factory Expansion (just how many more grind-inches-per-labor-hour were added?), etc.

Punchline: we could see many releases of smaller or lower-count/higher-priced knives or we could se fewer releases of bigger or higher-count/lower-priced knives. I think that despite liking the idea of lots of releases, most of us ('100s of skeletons', 'S7CGs', 'DMCG2s', 'stuff in the store for more than a day', etc.) are asking for 5-7 offers.
