I'm with Paul on this one. To me, a 10" blade seems a little excessive for a fighter. And even with the regrind, I assume the knife is still pretty blade heavy. I just don't think it would be quick enough to use as a fighter. Then again, Roman soldiers seemed to do pretty well with the Gladius. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> The Saxons with saxes didn't do to bad either. Bors

That's a nice grind job to make a huge fighter (I would have kept the thumb ramp myself to give a definate transition from edge to handle, but each to their own). Would anyone really use a knife that big in a melee, over a 7" dagger or bowie?
