I've done alot of holding my DFLE above my head and saying "By the power of Grayskull........I have the power" Here's what i'm talking about:

This thing is a sword and must be treated as such. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif" alt="" />

I like to watch TV with it(my old DFCG or my Hooker) bare across my lap in the Conan on the toilet pose. I thought I was the only one who did the "by the power of Greyskull" thing.

And here I thought Bramel just posted to gloat about getting his DFLE's a week before us. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" />

All you Canadians need to get together and book some hotels in mid-winter on Jekyll Island. Come out to my house and chop some stuff. Wander in the swamps. Walk on the beach. Thaw out some. Roast some oysters. Drink some beer. All that white snow and the cold darkness will drive you mad.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Very tempting offer Vic! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

No DFLE here yet. Maybe they will arrive with the SY Mod! That would make for a good day. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

You could chop down another frozen tree, Chris. My hospitality still stands. Winter rates are cheap. Canadians have been arriving on Jekyll lately.

Thats a very tempting offer Horn Dog with with all the pictures you have posted I would rather camp on the island and put my knives to some good use. Thank you for the hospitallity, perhaps one day I will be able to make it down there. The pictures you have posted make the island look like awe inspireing country.

one a side note, no knife today.

It was quite nice here until yesterday. Now it is -15 which is not to bad.
Good snowmobile weather. Still to hot for the sled dogs. I have seen a lot of sled dog trucks around town getting ready for the winter festival. They are halftons with about 30 little dog condos made of wood in the back.

No DFLE yet. I have been looking out the window like a lonely puppy(have been on a dog thing today). I have been waiting for some OST plastic goodies as well.

I've always heard that it's a pain to ship anything outside of the US. I assumed that there was extra customs paperwork and expense involved, but I guess that it's slow too. I'm in Indiana and received my DFLE order on 12/17, my MOD 7 arrived on 12/24.

Theres a little bit more paperwork, basically I think the Americans just need to declare a value and what the item is. If customs inspects the package there is an automatic $5 "inspection fee" and you may be subject to paying GST depending on value and if the item was delcared as a gift or sales item.

It really isn't that difficult Jim. You just have one extra sheet to fill out where you declare the contents and value.

Fixed blade knife $xxx is basically the extent of it. With USPS Global International you can even track the package right to the door of any canadian address using canadapost.ca and the USPS tracking number.

The delays however can be quite long!

No DFLEs here yet. Maybe friday!
