And in the back of your mind, think of Carly Simon singing "Anticipation"!!

I am new to the yard I do own SY knives. This may be a stupid suggestion knowing the knives Dan makes but what does everyone think of a SY folder.

ronin - Howdy and Welcome to the Scrap Yard! Many folks here would love a SYKCO folder, but the emphasis is on fixed blades. You will find that we all love our Scrap Yard knives - just look how fast they sell out! Tom

That smiley really looks like Carly Simon too, with those big horse teeth.

Welcome to the yard ronin, from a fellow newb! Not sure if we will ever see a SYKCO folder. I know if it was made, it would be a quality piece. But considering the credo of superior price to performance, IMO there are already plenty of folders on the market that are good and not too expensive. With fixed blades, there are few out there that are as good, let alone ones in the price range we like to see around here. So I think Scrap Yard really fills a niche in fixed blades, whereas the market for folders seems a bit more saturated. JMHO of course; I'm not in the biz. There has been a little wishful chatter amongst some members for a folder, but that has been drowned out by the howls of the dogs clamoring for an S7, or a skelly.

You are right about fixed blades Private Klink, imo Dan makes the best, but I think a folder with the same quality as the SY fixed blades would be a really cool addition and would be great as an every day knife to carry. But what ever Dan makes I am interested.
