I wanted to ask everyone to pray for my Grandpa. (Mom’s Dad) I just got a call from Mom a little while ago that he’s in the hospital. He woke up this morning, unable to move any part of his body. He was taken to the hospital, and they said he had something wrong with his heart and had fluid on it. They put him on some medicine, and said he wouldn’t be able to return home. At this point, we don’t know when/if he’ll recover, or to what extent. He’s also already in the early stages of Alzheimer’s.

Please also pray for Mom, as she’s really worried about Grandpa. Stress can make her vision worse, (she’s legally blind from histoplasmosis) and it can cause her to have complications with her diabetes, and I’m worried about her as well.

Ya know, it wouldn’t hurt to pray for me too. I have enough stress load from returning to college after being absent for 4 years without the extra stress about worrying about both of them. Besides all that, Mom was just diagnosed with an extreme case of Cellulitis, which itself can be deadly. She’s on a strong medicine right now, and is supposed to stay in bed with her feet elevated. But now she’s worried about her Dad, and wanting to see him and visit with him, because she’s afraid he might not have much time left. I told her to take care of herself, because I don’t need to lose them both.

AND on top of that, there’s been some screw up at Chrysler where my Dad works, and he and a bunch of other people haven’t been paid for over 3 weeks! My parents are so broke, that they’ve been living off whatever is in the pantry because they couldn’t afford to buy groceries, and they’ve had to borrow money off of relatives just to be able to afford gas so he could get to work. So, if something really bad happened to Grandpa, I don’t even know if I could afford to get home if I needed to with the high price of airlines on short notice.

I have my student loan money coming in this weekend, but I have to pay for my housing and stuff out of that, so I don’t know if there’d be enough left to borrow from it to fly home on short notice if I needed to. Please keep my family in your prayers.

My prayers are with ya bro, I know how it feels to be short of cash believe me !!!
At least you have plenty of knives to act as fund raising material should the need arise, let's hope and pray it doesn't come to that !!!!
My own grandad fell ill and died not long after I made the move to Canada and with all the expense of moving there was no way I could afford to get back back and see him so I know exactly what you are going through !!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
