What about just getting Warmoth parts/kit - are they real expensive?

I don't think I'd build one either - unless I got a good deal on a strat kit, or a jazzmaster kit!
I've always wanted a vintage sunburst jazzmaster w/ the tortoise guard...

still not sure my ego will let me hang an SX on the same wall as my other guitars. even agile is pushin it a little.
that's sounds bad to non-guitarists but most of us wouldn't be caught dead with a united cutlery knife.

<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> I agree. My next purchase is going to be "the big one" - in a high end PRS or Gibson Historic.

ya know, when i bought the dimebolt, it was a decision between that or the rga121. i've been thinkin of the guitar ever since, often thinking i made the wrong choice. i try to settle it by the thought that the dimebolt coers a lot of ground that my others dont, namely the floyd rose, short scale, and super round neck tone.
that rga wouldn't remain stock for long, either. prolly give it a pair of dimarzio paf pros. somethin super shred articulate that'll still do the sweet stuff.

i bet that faded epi sg would rock HARD with a duncan invader. or two. white one with black oxide caps.
oh yeah. too bad that would practically double the price. i'd have them pull all the crappy wiring and pots out too.

I'm thinking about some WB pickups - PAFs... I don't know, though. I really like the sound I'm getting w/ my stock Gibson USA pups in the Elitist, but I wonder how much better it COULD be w/ some custom wound PAFs. And they'd be Zebra!
