Awesome collection. Awesome vid, Tal playing. Also, if I did not mention before, checkout Jimmy Raney and or his son Doug. The God Allan Holdsworth. Keep plucking.

The second video was great.

Holdsworth in the 2nd video of his you posted is pretty experimental! Cool, but not what I'd usually listen to. The 70's video was killer. 80's was back to that experimental stuff!

That was one funky bass guitar in Blue N Green! Cusson has a lot of soul there. Great chops too!

Anyone drumming for Vai has to be the man... and Donati sure is amazing! I was a drummer growing up - 5th grade through graduating from high school - where I made a rather permanent switch to guitar. I still jump on our drummers set every once in a while and fool around.

Thanks for the links - good stuff!

I'm still in a total Sean Costello rut - I listen to a lot of his live stuff, and have picked up all of his albums (a couple were hard to find!). My 3 year old loves his stuff as well, which helps. He's always dragging me over to the computer to put on a video for him. Here's what we're listening to at the moment:

Glad you liked them. Alain Caron is the bass player in the Cusson "Blue N Green", the band is called UZEB, their from Canada, awesome stuff. As to Donatai, what can I say, the guy is also a genius, has a very high IQ I hear. His double bass is phenomal. Pure Power with him. Virgil has played with alot of people from back in the late 70's I think.

I listen to the Sean Costello vid, mostly blues with a rock-a-billy touch to it, that's what I get from it, tasty.

Here's a great guitarist from the early 70s, died to young. Also, another awesome drummer. You might also like the bass player Lee Sklar.

Here's one of Tommy Bolin's songs I really like. To this day, I've never heard anyone sound like him.

i have the 1x12 of that amp. mine was the early version loaded with the celestion seventy80, which has been replaced with a proprietary vox speaker in the current production model.

that is an ebay pic. i have the only bid on it since it was posted and another one had a pretty low buy-it-now and no one took it. i'm not going any higher than my current bid. if someone takes it, i'm goin straight for the legacy and leaving all this cheap les paul project stuff behind me.

If I were to buy an amp, it would probably be one of these:

Naylor Amps

...course, I'm a bit biased. (For those who don't get it, Naylor is my last name)
