Well, after a little bit of a wait....my three (yes! I said 3...only needed two for the pics) YKCG and two kydex sheaths showed up. I started grinding and chopping right away.


Two of the knifes have the choil worked on, one was left alone. The ground choil was then blued, since I don't have any crinkle coat. The choil is about twice the size now and fits my little girl fingers perfectly.


Then, I went to work on one of the sheaths and modified it, until I was happy. The other one in the picture without the knife needs some serious work.....you cannot get the knife into it at all....the opening is about 50% to small. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> I'll fix that one tomorrow.


I fixed this one up today, as I'm giving it to my father....his very first Scrap Yard.

what did you do to make the fit bettter..i have trouble getting the knife outta the sheath

my user AD has a pretty large one on it now

I took the sheath apart and hit it with the heat gun and re-moulded it to actually fit the knife . I also cut about 3/4"- 1" off the bottom the reshaped it with a belt sander on low speed.....all very easy stuff.

The other sheath....can't make the knife go in and trust me, I almost tried standing on it.

sounds easy enough...looks like i'll contact rainwalker though.

ive been trying to score a muddy chopweiler to get a piggy-back system with one of my muddy AD'S

Cultellus and AD are both great looking knives....Only wish I'd been smart enough to get one of each myself......Rat trap, would have been good also.
