Tip up and blade faces to the back of pocket (excellent choice).....where's your sense of adventure?? Don't like blades popping open in your pocket?

I've never had one open on me either......But it's the thrill of the unknown, that keeps me carrying my knives.

where's your sense of adventure?? Don't like blades popping open in your pocket? Years ago my first and only Opinel knife liked to come open in my pocket. I wondered why on earth they didn’t cut a notch in that ring to lock the knife shut? Myself, I didn’t like the thing enough to bother modifying it. A knife that makes you bleed when you grab for it, and slices open your pocket to boot, is a dead loss. I’m told that modern Opinels have exactly that modification.

got one of those too teehee its much larger than i anticipated..i hardly ever carry it now. That's great looking folder. I had a chance to score one a while back, but it cost more than a DFLE. I decided to go with the Benchmade Deja Voo. The late Bob Lum's designs just appeal to me for some reason. That Rat Trap is very nice, though. I like big folders. I have a drawer full of small (4"-5" blade) fixed blades, but I always end up with a folder for EDC.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

alright, mine was way too small too. like could NOT get the knife in, heres some good advice. (mine fits just how I want it to now) take th sheath, remove the metal (idk what you have to remove the metal actually, but j33ps said to, I think its so the holes don't deform or expand if you get the kydex in that area soft) take a hiar dryer or heat gun (on low) and heat the area you want to get soft until it gets a little soft (not too soft) then put the knife in and mold it how you want it, and maybe pull the knife in and out a few times.
pretty much heat it and make it how you want it, I tightened mine in the blade more and lossened it near the handle. its whatever you want, just don't go overboard.

Finished mods to the second sheath...much smaller and now fits the knife perfectly. I know it's not up to your high standards....but it will do. Used a bandsaw to cut the kydex(boy did I cut a bunch of it off)....what do you use Rainwalker? Here's a pics.....yeah! it's a crappy pic....waiting for the sun to come out and play.

very nice BRAMEL. looks like the sheath fits the knife perfectly and it look nice and compact. The sheath is pretty big for the knife, but it doesn't bother me. I have a question, can you heat the kydex from the outside? like if I put heat on the outside of the kydex (the kind thats not all black and slick) it will still become soft right?
