wait ted, I'm sorry if this is really rude, what do you do for a living.
I only ask because like, I thought you were a photographer, and you own big cats right? (or am I thinking of someone else)
so you photograph people with the cats?
idk... sorry if I sound like a total idiot here, I'm just curious and a little confused.

Actually, I work for Apple, but I take photos also and have some big cats in the backyard. I've been doing photography professionally for about 24 years and the cats are my sister's. I just recently went back to work for Apple because I like benefits and a solid paycheck that I can count on far in the future.

(Disclaimer)
BTW, if I happen to mention anything about Apple products in this forum it's from my personal opinion and not company policy.

Oh and I rarely photograph people with the cats. They are wild animals and very unpredictable. Although, the dang horse was the one trying to bite everyone today.

very cool ted, thats right, I remember hearing that before, but I guess I forgot, BTW you do take some great pics.

and you know vance, every once in a while someone asks one of those questions.
like "why does the company store have any knives for sale" type questions.

Uh, yeah. I wish I had a clue. I'm on a brand new computer that is working very well so far except for that. This is the first time I have not been able to make a purchase, even though I am a slow typist. I had thought that signing in might speed things up. In the past, I never bothered, I just entered the info and checked out. Maybe the failed sign in had nothing to do with my subsequent problems. I am not sure how best to proceed next time.

If it's a Vista computer and you're using IE7 as your Web browser, then that might have something to do with it. We've had reports at work that some people using that combination have trouble logging into some of our webapps. Unfortunately, we've been unable to replicate the issues they describe on our Vista test computers, either from inside or outside of our primary firewall. However, without specific knowledge about either system, unless you got a security related error message, I'd still suspect that the issue is on the other end, but that it'll only occur under a heavy load.
