you scored a dogfather? didn't know that. nice. will you be posting any pics?
and I've wanted the kabar heavy bowie for a longggg time now. still haven't got one, they seem like a good value too. though I doubt how much use it will see, between the rd9, DFCG and DFLE, I doubt I'd really use it.
and BTW, I really wnat a yardguard/hook. they seem pretty hardcore, the tip is super thick and the knife itself is thick too, and with that sabre grind it has to be one of scrapyards toughest knives. I should get one sometime.

my dad is in Vegas right now with my camera they only camera I have with me is my canon ae-1p 35mm that I use for my photography the ka-bar is a ok beater, not great and it seems like they ran the 1085 soft
the hook/guard is amazing, it is basicly the blade I had been searching for when I am in the woods I like to carry a 7in bladed knife because it is not to heavy(much less than those silly small blade+axe combos) but you still can do large work and fine work the YH is great if you dont mind the little extra effort to maintain the recurve blade

yeah, recurves don't bother me. I doubt dan will ever do another release of them though, even though they are GREAT blades at a great price.

This thread seems to have been hijacked.... But, I will add this to this thread anyway: Here are my two versions of the Nessmuk with the Mudder grips. I really just can't see this blade with the regular Res-C grips. Taller blade: Slimmer blade: Hopefully in satin. .

I prefer "SATIN" blades!!!

I'm still routing for a Scrap Yard version of the crash rat I wonder how they would do the handles though, maybe make two long res-c scales in a simalar shape as the crash rats micarta that would be screwed to the handle

idk, one handle would be fine on the end I think. idk though, we need a master photochopper for this one.

you could have it on the front. idk how I feel about having it on the end, cause you will be prying on the blade area, and it you slip, it could be less than plesent.
