yeah, it doesn't quite look like 17 inches, but its still huge! it would have been awesome if it was stand though, I'm gonna try it on a standing tree! lol me and my cousin chopped a tree down, and all kinds of huge logs were falling and stuff, it was pretty scary.

Great chopping pics, Sharp. Try THAT with one of those cute little "survival" knives!
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

good to look up and wonder now and then. wasn't very warm when i got up at 5am to go to the airport. nasty fog, too.
i don't think you're giving that machete enough credit. give it a side by side, full force chops. if it doesn't match the dfle, send it to me and i'll put it on the belt sander. it should.
won't match for edge retention or strength. will corrode quicker when the coating wears away, too. pretty tough coat, though.

If you are really honest about bang for the buck, NOTHING beats a good sharp machete.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Yea... I don't know if it's legal, with out a permit, to be logging down a national forest. Great chopping pics, Sharp. Try THAT with one of those cute little "survival" knives! Exactly!!! I'll admit, what I did was totally pointless, fun, and stupid. Stupid pointless fun, what's more to do on some ugly Saturday evening (it was foggy, cloudy, raining. Which = wet land, thick air, and a whole heck load of eerie aurora). Though, Portland, OR weather is getting better. It was sunny today and yesterday.

eatingmuchface: Very cool photos ! Looks like fun. I wonder what kind of wood that is ? It's purple.
Sharp: That tree looks like you used a chain saw on it.

noss! good to see you here. i was going to post alink on knifetests but I forgot. idk, its like a piece of driftwood I found.
mag: yeah, thats the thing, idk how it chops compared to the DFLE, it sure isn't as comfortable, and it flexes a little, but its still an awesome chopper.

Great Pix EMF!!!
I love the sky shots as much if not MORE than the chopping shots!
That brother of yours needs to spend some time in Wisconsin eating cheese and mashed potato's! Put some meat on his bones in no time flat!
Great pictures for sure! Thanks so much for posting.
Peace.
