Is that the small Spec Op Survivor sheath? How does it work with the mutt.

the extra steel is really just wasted on the DFCG.

whoa whoa whoa...since when is terrifying awesome baddass a waste?

still, i get ya on the "second knife to cut" since it isn't a 10" bowie. i thought of it more like nessmuk's double bit axe head. one thin edge for finer work, one more robust for the hard stuff. that so wrong?

look at all those stockman style knives.

Yes it is the small version up to 6" and works flawless for the DM,it is a Spec-ops brand survival sheath(discountined( I snatched up 3 looking for more) ,I also have one for my chopweiler ,Will NOT work anything over 8"...so I am looking at a rain walker or something for the DF but if I get one made It will be a tandem and couple the DMCG with MY DFCG as well, awe the idea is freaking sweet sounding....

The Mutt's cousin, the Swamp Rat Ratmandu is great knife in that size, too.

Here's my DM pics. The DM is my “pocket chopper”. I like using it to split smaller wood and fatwood with for a fire. The extra thick blade makes it split wood easier than a thinner knife.

The only Mutt I have seen with more use that yours, pitman, is stansbrew's. You got your money's worth with that one. It blends in so well with your terrain, maybe orange paracord wrap would make it easier to find if you drop it. I'd hate to see you lose it!

And here it is in Wisconsin, last August with deer sticks and beer. On the Menomonee Reservation.

Pitman,
I think I've said it before but you really do live in some beautiful country up there. I never get tired of those pics.

I also wanted to get my hands on an Urban Mutt when they showed up at Blade, but Dan never made them available to us non-travelers. I'm still hoping he does sometime in the future.
