there's a link that leads to nothing if you check the bottom of the foliage g10 uk pen knife on spyderco's website. that's probably supposed to lead to the orange model, but somethin screwed up.

i'll let you guys know how it is when mine shows up. teehee.

it's a composite blade, D2 and 14C28N. i've never heard of that second steel but i think this thing is pretty sick, especially for the price. i don' really like assists, but i'd get this one anyway.
O darn, where did you see that. I'm a Leek nut this one will be my 6th . Although my Griptilian has been my main edc for the past month or so. I also am going to get a green cpm d2 Spyderco military.

i almost bought that d2 mili last night with the rest of the knives i bought. i just keep reminiding myself how unimpressed i was when i finally got my hands on the standard model. i'm not too crazy about g-10, the liner's thin, and i prefer a little heft. i'm sure it's still a quality knife, but i'd take this frame lock leek over that spydie, even if they were the same price. the kershaw costs half.

I'm still really interested in getting a Millie (S90V or BG 42 with CF). However, I've heard and I am still hearing a lot of mixed reviews towards the Millie.

If anyone here has one (I know Nick has one, maybe a few other do) could you please to a full or mini review on this thread? Please include lots and lots of pictures (if you can ) , especially of the liner and backspacer.

I really like the full height flat grind and the overall size of the knife. Though, after handling an axis, rockerlock, and a few quality framelocks, liner locks just don't appeal to me anymore. I just don't like how thin liners. Why can't people just do framelocks? It's easier (ok, so stress bending 1/8" [or more] piece of titanium ain't your average cup of tea but besides that... ), simpler, stronger, and probably cheaper, too.

Oh well... sticking to fix blades is probably the way to go.

Thanks

Thanks M22,

One of the biggest reason holding me back on most of the Spydercos is their no use of any type of steal liners on nearly every single knife (correct me if I'm wrong).

However, the Spyderco Stretch ZDP version is the one I'm eying at the most.

Full steel liners, ZDP blade, the works.

many spydercos have liners. the delica and endura have nested liners. i'm willing to bet the new flat ground, foliage green g10 delica and endura have full liners.

the mili has no liners.

i had one for a week. good solid knife, but i had trouble with the vendor and returned it for a boker subcom. i'd get the frn version if i did it again. came looking like it had been some gorilla's main edc for ten years.
