My old scout master carried a Ka-Bar, and when I was an Assistant Scoutmaster I carried an Air Force pilots survival knife on our camping trips, along with a machete, scout folder, and and axe. What do they do now, bake cookies? camillus was the last manufacturer of the BSA knife. it is now bear and son. I carry a fixed blade on our troop camps but at the district camps I can't. I took the yaurd guard this weekend on a camp out with the boys. great knife. i need a folder that can work like a fixed blade also so I can take it to the district functions <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
