Little late on posting, but here are some of my favorites:

I just posted some info in response to Vic's (removed) post about his new SERE 2000, so some of this info about the SERE 2000 is just carried over from there.

The SERE 2000 is probably one of my top 5 folders. The list below isn't in any particular order. But, I have mentioned some things I would change.

SERE 2000 - built like a tank, great blade design and super silky smooth, slick and fast....

I removed my SERE post because folder posts belong in this thread. I am very pleased with the new SERE. It's very slick and very tough, as a folding survival knife should be. I actually like the thumb rest.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> I had a feeling thats what those were. Not a bad idea. I'm rarely without two knives and usually get by, though! Might make a good keychain...

Quite comfortable. FRN slabs. Thumb stud is only on one side but is reversible. Liner lock. Laser sharp. Something like $27 at Cumberland Knife Works. Great deal for the $$. There are some issues between Ontario and RAT right now that will result in a total boycott of Ontario from me from this point forward - that said, these Model 1's are a steal at the most recent pricing. They were $75 until recently, when Ontario went behind RAT's back and ordered another run after RAT asked them not to, due to some quality concerns and the fact that they no longer wish to have their logo and name on any non-USA made blades. Following that, Ontario decided to sue RAT over a number of ridiculous points, one of which being the RAT name, which stands for Randalls Adventure Training (Jeff Randall, owner) - a name that they have been using for their survival school for many many years prior to Ontario making their knives (and, Ontario was the FOURTH manufacturer of RAT knives, and are now trying to bully them out of their name with lawsuits).

So... the knife is good. Ontario has struck an all time low. Your choice!

I'm really liking mine as well. Not as much as my Manix. Its tied for 2nd place w/ my CS Recon 1 in the 4" department. Which says a lot, considering the fact that I have a general dislike for linker locks...

Easily switched - 4 position clip. I have my black blade set up for tip up in the above picture.

You'll like it - its a heck of a knife for the $$.
