It might be useful but I think I'd rather go for a Surefire folder even though they are nearly 4 times the price.

sounds like the sharp I know and love hahahah

"dude, why get one of thoses? you could get a BMW for only like 100,000 dollars more"
- Sharp

heh just kidding man. The folks at our local surplus store advised me to redeem the warranty on my grip, so I may do that. Also, any of you have exp. with the CRKT M16's? I'm generally inclined to dismiss most CRKT's as poodoo, but perhaps you have evidence to the contrary?

OMG! CO let go of a sebbie! I won't believe it without picture proof! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I'm willing to confirm it! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /><img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Besides, having lost one means I must replace it with two more! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I have an M-16-12 in AUS8 from about 8 years ago. I used it every day for about a year. It wasn't bad for the price but ever since I've had a benchmade or spyderco I've never carried an M-16 since. I did like it a lot more than any of CRKT's stuff in AUS6 though(point gaurd and urban shark).

I really like the ZT stuff!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

I've come close to pulling the trigger on a 0300 or 0200 a few times. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

for $235, they're a steal next to comparable knives.

TAD charges nearly $300, though.

I looked at both the 0300 and 0200 at Blade last year and at that time I thought I liked the 0300 better, but after handling them I decided the 0200 would probably be my choice if I got one. But I still do like the 0300's too, they just don't feel quite as good in the hand.

I've been giving the Al Mar a serious look lately too.

Spyderco has got some new ones coming that look real tempting as well.

progress report on the H1 Salt 1. I tried to cut some very heavy cardboard with it yesterday and I couldn't get the point to penetrate. I could have applied more pressure, but it already felt like it was flexing and there were bags on the other side, so I just scored it to break it with leverage. After a firm score, it folded a few inches from the score, so it wasnt even deep enough for a functional score. There was some definite dulling on the tip that you can feel but can't see. The edge is starting to reflect light, but it is still cutting shrickwrap pretty well, though definitely not as good as new. I'm going to let it go for right now and see if it dulls very quickly now that it isn't shaving sharp anymore. I will get the traces of adhesive off of it though.
