Very interesting. I look forward to hearing more, I've wondered how the H1 steel holds up. I've got one of the H1 Salt folders, Endura I think, but I haven't really used it much at all. I prefer to carry the Native. There's a new Spydie called the Sage that looks like a Native with a liner lock instead of a lock back. I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on one of those!

Lately I've been on a slip joint kick. I just picked up this limited edition Queen 4.5" (closed) English jack. The blades are 1095 steel. I've been carrying it around today it carries well.

I really like the ergo's on the Native and the blade shape also. I carried one for a little while until I got the Salt 1. I wanted to see how the H1 held up so I'd know if I wanted any more of it. I don't think any of my knives would have sliced that cardboard, and I really had a lot of force on it. The edge didn't roll and the tip didn't take any damage. It looks like it just doesn't have the abrasion resistance of what I'm used to, mainly ATS-55.

It was, no contest, the sharpest knife I've ever recieved out of the box(slicing vs shrinkwrap). If I can get it to take an edge like that again, I'll probably buy a lot more of it.

Mac, you really like that RIJBACK. I suggest you get one.

I kinda like it too.

The SARD you showed is weird. It might be useful but I think I'd rather go for a Surefire folder even though they are nearly 4 times the price.

It's also odd on the SARD site, when you click on "eject" symbol, the specs come up and near the end it says "Total knife may be recycled."

Not really sure I want to recycle, let alone throw away, a 130 dollar folder. Losing, now that's a different story.

I will be getting a RIJBACK, I just burned all my cash on a piece of ash(love these ash jokes)
I'll get one soon though then I'll baton with it

I like the SARD, I thought you would love it.
The lock it uses is susposed to be really strong and the thing is so revolutionary.
I think the person that wrote that page didnt speak english as a native language, although I have seen worse.

I never said I didn't like it. I'd probably get one anyways.

I just think it's quite an odd knife.

That translation on the band-aid is freaking hilarious.

heh just kidding man. The folks at our local surplus store advised me to redeem the warranty on my grip, so I may do that. Also, any of you have exp. with the CRKT M16's? I'm generally inclined to dismiss most CRKT's as poodoo, but perhaps you have evidence to the contrary?

I have not comment besides my sig line.

As for the 0300, I really wanted the one from TAD with CF. Though I admit, I'd probably be more inclined to horde the CF one than use it because of the black coating. I think the Digi Camo with a bead blast finish would be more of a user to me. Though, black coatings have never stopped me in the past.

I like the Rijback, but $200 is high. What's the best price you guys have seen on one?

$200

It has a MSRP of $329 though, and consider that it is as tough as most striders for half the price.

I'm gona get one as soon as I can.

Why is it so expensive? What is special about it? It's a beautiful knife. Does it have a better or stronger lock than others?

EDIT: Well I guess as such high-end folders go, it isn't that bad. I just checked out some Emersons and Striders.....

S30v blade, unbreakable point, titanium handles, g10 handles.

Its a frame lock so it should be tough.

I'm used to getting big shiny bowies for that price, but I guess there is a lot of precision work involved in a top quality folder. Fact is, I carry folders more than fixed blades nowadays. I have been partial to Cold Steel Voyagers for years, but my Benchmades have stepped it up a notch. That Dejavoo is just a jewel. Maybe I'll get a Rijback now that they are a little less expensive than they were. The Striders and my Skirmish are just too bulky for pocket carry, which is the whole purpose of a folder to me.

The only complant that I have heard about the RIJBACK is that the action comes alittle gritty.
If you wash if every day with dishsoap it will become silky in a few days.
