Well I did trade my Mini. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I am quite happy. I traded it for a Mint Emerson Benchmade CQC-7. I felt that swizzle really helped my decision. Autos are kinda cool but they will get you in more trouble then needed plus they are really toyish. This is gonna be a user.

I definitely felt that I got a pretty good deal considering how rare these are.

Did I say that?

Hmm...

Well I was willing to trade the S60V for the ATS-34. People stopped using S60V because it wasn't that great compared to S90V or even 154cm.

I believe I read somewhere that a test with S60V vs. ATS34 and ATS34 won in edge retention. The reason behind this is that CPM purposely developed S60V as a stainless semi-tough steel. Tough as in a mid Rockwell hardness (around AUS4-ish). Because of this edge retention isn't that great. It's still decent steel compared to others but well hardened 154cm or ATS34 will beat well heat treated S60V any day.

I admit I wanted the LE model cuz it had S60V and being collector-ish I needed the S##V steels. S30V, S60V, and S90V. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I actually don't have anything to sharpen the serrations. I do sort of "strop" it on a soft leather belt with some compound to keep it keen. At the moment I do not have any special tools to sharpen with.

The Spyderco sharpmaker is great for serrations, I was a nit wit and sold mine to buy more knives. LOL

So I have to steer clear of serrations for now..

Here's another pic. I really like this knife. The fit and finish is really nice.

It also has that Emerson flare of a sticky liner. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
