Okay, now i don't want to hijack a thread here, but I have a folder question;
I've been feeling a need for a new folder ( i know, i know, I said I didn't like folders and I would stop after the ZT0200). I want it to be smaller than the ZT0200 but still a good medium size (perhaps about the same as a griptilian?). I'm looking to spend less than $100 dollars on it, and I'd love it if it were assisted open. Some of the ones I'm looking at
-Kershaw Blur (standard or S30v) -Kershaw Speed/Spec Bump -Spyderco Endura
What are you suggestions?
Have you hugged your camp knife today?

i suggest the ones you listed. of those, i'd choose endura. i sold mine, though, so guess i don't love them all that much. don't spend the extra for zdp189 if you don't have a diamond sharpener. vg10's still first rate stuff.
me, i'd be lookin at the 110, soldier, delica, and the leek. you could get three of those four for $100.
i know people are on strike with the rat 1 folder, but i like it a lot and if it's what you need, screw the politics and get it.

have the sandvic 13c26 (the tanto. it wouldn't be my first choice but they had it at wal-mart so I thought "why not") blur and I love it! it takes a great edge easily, has a nice thin grind (mac said the grind on mine was different/thinner then his friends though, so idk, maybe the tanto is different) I like the grippy stuff on the handles, although it can be rough on your pocket sometimes, AND it opens pretty fast (not as fast as my little scallion though) and even after I batoned some wood it opens nice. (and some people really don't like it, but i do) it is a liner lock though (but it's not too bad) and the edge rolls/deforms VERY easily. idk why. it kind of acts like a carbon steel??? so you may have to like align the edge after use. other than that I really like mine. and I really like the look of the leek with the composite blade... http://blog.knifecenter.com/kershaw-leek-with-composite-steel-blade/ I don't know anything about spydies, never really handled one. hope that helped some.

OK, here it is. My new "over the top" folder. This is a beast! It even came with a band-aid dispenser. They think this is sharp? Wait until I finish it. ![[Linked Image from i173.photobucket.com]](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/rivershaman/Knife/Rijback003.jpg) It has a thick strong blade and a titanium frame lock. Really beefy, but still pocket friendly. Check the lock compared to my Rat Trap (my new EDC). ![[Linked Image from i173.photobucket.com]](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/rivershaman/Knife/Rijback005.jpg) My kind of pocket knives! ![[Linked Image from i173.photobucket.com]](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/rivershaman/Knife/Rijback010.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i173.photobucket.com]](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/rivershaman/Knife/Rijback011.jpg) I like this one.

Looks very nice though, I will have mine in a few weeks. Not two weeks, I am saving for it now and actually expect to be able to buy one in two weeks.
Anyways, the bandaid thing is funny.

Mac, I looked and looked. I really liked the Rukus and the Striders, too. I wanted a hard use folder that was good for pocket carry. My Skirmish is definately tough enough, but it is one big heavy sucker. Since I liked the looks of the Rijbak when Unsub posted a pic of it, I checked it out. My usual supplier has trouble getting them, but I found one at a better price at New Graham. Service was fast, and I got a free band-aid dispenser. It isn't as slick or "refined" as a Benchmade, but it is built like a tank. I like it.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

You guys are way ahead of me on folder knowledge. I carried CS Voyagers for years. They are fine for light duty, but folders have come a long way in recent years. I wanted one built like a Busse! Since Blade Tech made the Rat Trap and the original RAT Model 1 folder (prototype), I figured they were good. I mean, if they are good enough for Jeff Randall and Jerry Busse, they must be good.
