I have been trying to upgrade my edc's also, thats why I have looked at the rijback and eickhorn sard.
My current main edc folders are a griptilian and leeks.
Both are not very tough, I need a tough folder!

Those Eikhorns look gimmicky to me. Mall Ninja looking. That means nothing. I am old. They may be fine knives. Modern sport motorcycles look strange to me. Of course all I usually see of them is the tail light and back tire as they pass me while I rumble along on my "traditional" looking Harley.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Great purchase mate!

If you can find the time could you take a comparison photo of the Skirmish and the Bladetech?

I would really appreciate a photo showing the respective thickness of the liner locks next to each other? Your photo of the Skirmish and the Dejavoo made me realise how strong the Skirmish is !

Thanks.

ps. Mac ... you'll get that Ridgie sooner or later

Hmm, that lock on the bladetech is odd, the liner doesn't seem to engage all the way? is that bad? its thick enough for sure though

Have you hugged your camp knife today?

there is no liner. It is a frame lock.

once it breaks in with a few thousandths of wear it will fully engage. The curvature at the blade tang then increases requiring progressively more wear for the interface to drift across the blade. This increases the service life. It is like a hard-fit 1911. The parts will perfectly mate after break-in instead of before.

As beefy as the Rijbak is, the Skirmish is still the King Kong of my framelocks.
It's bigger than the HRLM.

And darn near as thick.

Here are the Skirmish and Rijback locks compared.

But the Skirmish is a huge knife for pocket carry. I thought about getting a mini-skirmish, but chose the Rijback instead.

Horn Dog, many thanks for the photo's ...they sure show the immense size and strength of the Skirmish very well.

Thanks to darkaether for the terminology correction! I hope to get it right from now on!

i just got my spdie endura from tad gear yesterday. I really like it. The G10 handles feel great and look good. in my hand it almost feels just like the police model. it comes tip up carry, but has predrilled holes if you prefer tip down.

I was comparing it to Zero-nine's Military model last night. the endura is heavier, mostly due to the full liner.

i love my normal emerson edc, but will give the endura a few days to prove itself to join the pitching rotation.
