I would've guessed the crossbill is "junk." (although it's the same steel, materials and construction) that design doesn't look very practical. it is like one big hotspot y\the finish is horrible it just sucks

I'm not suire I understand what you're saying... "one big hotspot?" I would think the finish would be the same as on the flight...

now that you guys have seen my advice is pure gold, take it from a miserable early 20's grad student: figure out what you love to do early, get started early, get good early, and get paid early. you'll be swimmin in infi before you know it.

Hey Mag, which new Spydie models are you thinking about? I will pribibly go for the Rookie first (depending on blade length), since it is a sprint run and then later on get a Police, which is pretty massive with its 4.5in blade. Possibly a Citadel
I also really like the looks of the Rocklobster but could not justify paying $200 for the knife. i.e vg-10 g-10. Though VG-10 is one of my favorites.
