The benchmade LFK is even bigger and it has a nifty handle like the old marble. My new HC is such a nice knife I wanted to compare it to my favourite current folder. It is a Lambert Whar with timascus bolsters and carbonfibre scales. ![[Linked Image from img2.putfile.com]](http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/7/19203140739.jpg) ![[Linked Image from img2.putfile.com]](http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/7/19203140765.jpg) This photo has nothing to do with folders but I like the contrast bewtween the 2 knives. ![[Linked Image from img2.putfile.com]](http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/7/19203140612.jpg) You can make any of my photos bigger by clicking on them and then on the enlarge button on the bottom right. That Harsey blade looks like the HairyCarry blade.

The benchmade LFK is even bigger Nope. Stats: Benchmade LFK Blade Length: 5.20" Blade Thickness: 0.118" Blade Material: 440C Stainless Steel Overall Length: 10.25" Closed Length: 6.70" Weight: 6.70oz. X2 VOYAGER Blade: 6" Steel: VG-1 Stainless Steel Handle: 7 1/4", Zytel handle Overall: 13 1/4" Thick: 9/64" Weight: 6.5 oz. It's bigger, longer blade, longer handle (for more reach), and weighs LESS.

Wow I must be thinking of a different CS maybe. It is one heck of a pocket bowie. I had a smaller (but still huge) version of the scimitar a long time ago and it was a wicked blade and very light. I prefer my spyderco police though for when I want a concealable folder that gets big but the CS has about 2 inches of blade on it.
The LFK is cool because it has a big blade and does not have a huge handle. I am also a fan of 440C.
I just noticed that the Muppy blade and the Spyderco Mule blade are mirror images other than the Muppy is thicker stock and ironically the Spyderco from a company known for stainless is made of 52100 and the Scrapper known for tool steel is CPM154.

BFN, very nice! I've always wanted a ZT300 knife, but they're expensive. I've seen one on the exchange once for $100, but I was to slow.
Andy, That CS X2 Voyager is huge! It makes the camp tramp and ratweiler look tiny. For a minute I thought it was next to the Dumpster Mutt and Desert Jack or something, it took me a while to realize it was next to the camp tramp and ratweiler, despite you mentioning it!
Unsub, good catch on the mud puppy and mule, that was pretty funny.
Edit: Okay, after reading this thread again, I really want to get a ZT0300, but they aren't cheap. And it looks like Ranger Knives will be coming out with a folder!

I did not realize Beretta was making knives that nice. Very good looking folder, Bruce.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Yes that Beretta is a great knife. It is to bad the handguns are getting such and awful rep from their military use and it is not Beretta's fault it is the cheap lowest bidder mags which even with only 10 rounds in them still don't work. It is making the CF guys with 50 year old High Powers feel a bit better although yoy can get a SIG in the Canadian army if you have hands to small for a HP. Personally I like the HP.

There is one big folder I have been wanting for some time, and they are available again. The Hossum Retribution 1 from Ontario is avialable again. That is a beast of a folder, but it is too bulky for pocket carry. It comes with a belt sheath. ![[Linked Image from i173.photobucket.com]](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/rivershaman/ON8782large.jpg)

Interesting... Did you guys know that Beretta also did a collaboration with Warren Thomas. They have a CF and VG-10 bond knife as well. Avenger II it's called. ![[Linked Image from noze-nuz.com]](http://www.noze-nuz.com/beretta/BK79682b.jpg)

Koster Knives is/was working on a fixed knife like that, but someone said something about loose fibers getting into food and whatnot, and nobody responded to the thread again. I'll find the thread later, kinda mall ninjaish, but unique as hell.

Weird, loose fibers shouldn't be lost. If that's the case, that means it was poorly manufactured or the guy who asked doesn't know what he's talking about.
After the CF set in resin it's basically a plastic but really really really strong. You don't hear NASA complaining about loosing fibers. If that's the case, their shuttles wouldn't the way they are now (actually NASA is using RCC which supposedly is much strong by adding sets of fibers along the z axis in a 3-d plane.)
Also Warren Thomas makes all these knives with CF and no has complained about this.
