Just bought a Spyderco Endura 4 FRN with the zdp-189 plain edge blade.
So far I like it

I had one, but I sold it. I thought it was too hard to sharpen. I like the VG-10 better.
I will try to keep touching it up with a diamond "steel" haven't had it long enough yet to know

My experience with ZDP-189 is similar. The more I use it and try to get the perfect edge on it the more I like other steels.

Here are my benchmade auto's and a kershaw blur. I love the little benchmade its one of my all time favorites though i dont carry it that often for legal reason's. The larger military benchmade i found on the ground while in the middle of a training exercise and when nobody nearby claimed it i smiled. The kershaw was a birthday present and though the speedsafe function has ceased to work its still a dang handy little knife.

Here are my folders..

just picked up this ZT0300 a few weeks ago. What a beast.... I had a BM grip, which I think was stolen out of my car. Keep saying I'm going to replace it...but between my Enduras, Blurs and now the ZT....don't know if I'd even carry it now.

Also, love the SS Delica. It's my "dress up" knife.

Likely the torsion bar has broken, it has happened to me on two knives. Kershaw is very good about sending replacement parts on their dime. Their website has a warranty repair button/link. Its simply a matter of entering your knife model number, the part you need, and your name/address and one should be mailed to you within a few days.

Is that JYD II flat ground or hollow ground? I was under the impression that they were flat ground but someone reported having a hollow ground CB-CPM-D2.

After years of not buying another folder...it must be at least 10 years...as my SAK's and Walter Brend and Mick Lamprey were always enough for me...concern over carrying the Brend as an EDC when I was out walking due to our unduly repressive laws...whereby Lock Knives need a "good reason" and when out walking I am carrying a knife on the "what if I need it" basis...I decided to get a Spyderco UK Penknife which being a slip joint under 3 inches is allowed without needing to give any "reason". Here it is...

I love the knife...it comes sharp as a razor and the S30V steel looks a good choice...the lock up is tight when the blade is open and it is very comfortable "in hand"...the spine is nice and "right angle regular" and makes a great strike area for a ferro rod...I carry a blaze orange ferro rod and striker ( just incase I had'nt the knife ) and whistle and small Silva marching compass as part of a simple pocketable set of kit.... incase the weather turns and I need to walk on a bearing...or need to make a fire...or need a knife...

All told I am very happy with the UKPK and the Orange colour helps if it is dropped and I need to find it...and I am no longer concerned over "legal good reasons"...

Nice Spydie SF. I've wondered about the UK Spyderco's. I like the low profile wire clip that they're using on some of the knives. I have a Sage and really like it... although I've started to carry a Buck Vantage Pro more lately instead, but the Sage is still high on my EDC list.
