A Ladybug is good around Sheeple. It's smaller than a SAK, and better steel. It's a good addition to an Endura. and my wife routinely gets her's on to planes <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

One thing about a sak is that people who are not familiar with knives usually see sak's in a positive light.

I don't know if Buck invented them or not, but the first lockback knives I ever saw were Bucks. Every good ole boy down here used to carry one in a pouch on his belt. It was THE knife. It's still a good one, IMO. When I carry a folder camping it is either an old buck 110 or an imperial copy of it. When I bought the imperial it had a 25 year warranty, it's been up now for a few years

Carried a benchmade Monochrome for a while, good knife. Then rotated that out for a benchmade vex. Now carry my Emerson cqc7 (spearpoint). I am SERIOUSLY thinking about makeing it a REAL V grind, not a chisel. And for small stuff (or around Baa Baa Sheeple) an SAK pocket pal.

Spyderco all the way for me when it comes to folders. Currently I mostly carry the Rock Lobster. About the size of a Military but less scary looking. If not that then I carry a Delica or D2 Para.
I seem to prefer fixed blades these days so am hoping for something small from the Yard soon.

spyderco is easily king of the folder. there may be nicer knives out there but i don't think any pocket knife manufacturer has produced more great designs than spyderco. on top of that, they continue to improve on the already great designs.

I found it at an antique sorta junk store. There was a box filled with knives under the glass counter I asked to rummage through. Hidden at the bottom underneath a heap of cheap chinese knockoff spyderco's and oversharpened crap knives I saw it. It literally jumped out at me as just "not belonging".
It was tagged for $12.50 but the lady there really seemed to want to haggle, being a haggle shop and all so I just had to play around a little. Doing some research they are pretty hard to find as they stopped being made in '92 I think?
