I have bought 8 different folders since I bought my Spyderco Endura 4 Wave but none of them have taken its place in my pocket yet. The E4 Wave doesn't cost a lot, has a proven lock, has plastic scales that are easy on the other items in my pocket (and the pocket itself), full metal liners, has TWO great opening systems, and has Spyderco's excellent VG-10 steel. I just can't bring myself to carry anything else.

I always thought the endura ONLY had plastic scales. May have to give them anothe look sometime.

You were right until fairly recently. The previous generations of the Endura only had plastic. The newest (4th gen) Enduras have nested full length liners.

Just got a Spyderco JD Smith in the mail. Interesting knife!

Nice big handle with great ergos and the blade is nasty sharp...long and lean.

My Sage 2 is a nicer EDC, but this is an impressive blade too...

You guys like my newest one? I think it matches my stingray skin wallet nice. It's a Case Copperlock in Caribbean blue bone. (Click for bigger pics)

Love the sod buster design.

I actually pulled out that sod buster and cleaned it up. It will make its way back into the rotation.

I normally carry either a benchmade Stryker auto or regular, or a Kershaw Blackout or whirlwind. Depends on where I am or if i'm working etc.

I'm carrying a black shallot now,I like the smooth ss scales and frame lock.Nice and slim so it rides in the pocket great with no pocket wear like checkered G10.Not sure about the torsion bar,I've read good and bad things about them.No problems so far.Opens quick and locks up good and tight with no blade play.

Andy- That bone color is really cool.

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, if you don't take it out and use it, it's going to rust.
