The Blur has a ZDP-189 edge steel with (I think) 154CM for the spine. The JYDII is CPM D2 on the edge with some Sandvik steel for the spine.

All this talk about folders has me completely confused. Many people seem to like the RAT-1 folders but I see a Spyderco Tenacious goes for the same price (ie $30). Any other suggestions in that price range...?:)
The RAT-1 seems to have better edge retention than the spyderco which is quite important to me.

I'm still carrying my well used Swamp Rat Trap folder. I use it more than any other knife. That big 3.9" flat grind just works for me. The knife is thin and carries well, too. The S30V holds an edge well enough for me. I have some more expensive folders, but this is the one I EDC.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.
