I opted for the less expensive model. Pre-ordered from a vendor.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

I wasn't sure if the LE was gonna be offered in a lefty version. The LE is only about $100 more expensive then the pre-order in Canada. Plus I really like the Mr.DP tool for the LE!!! This is my first LE version anything. Pretty darned excited!!

finally cleared my inbox :]
and yea its gonna be flat ground. i have zero qualms that if there is any sort of problem esee will fix it without a problem. theres just alot of ppl out there that are gonna be like HEY LOOK WHAT THIS CAN DO, then break it and expect to be covered. granted they do that for the fixed blade but a folder is a whole different animal because it in an inherently weaker design than a slab of solid steel.
ive already got one preordered from a vendor and im excited to get it :]
street price for the 0550 was said to be 200$
i see myself using the o550 as a "dressier" blade while i can easily see myself carry the hest as an EDC...purely because of the bottle opener LOL

dont get me wrong, i like it, i like it a lot. im just not in love with it, and i think for what i gave for it i should be in freaking love with this thing. ive had it since monday and i havent carried it once. its a combo of how much it cost and i just prefer my sebbie over it. if i could somehow get one for its actual price and not second market prices i think i would be a lot more comfortable keeping it.

Sweet XM-18.
I'm really looking forward to the ZT 0550 folder...looks like a winner with a decent price too.

This is my first LE version anything. Pretty darned excited!! What is the Mr.DP tool? I am really enjoying CPM-D2, at least the Kershaw heat treat of it. It seems pretty easy to sharpen and takes a nice edge. I have not dealt with the non-CPM version. My understanding is it is a really good steel but tends to be somewhat brittle for a tool steel and its corrosion resistance drops its overall performance a notch when compared to s30v. Is D2 a tougher/stronger steal overall than s30v?
