Nice! It looks more pocket friendly than my ZT 301.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

just received my LionSteel SR-1! its beautiful!

however there is one thing im kinda disappointed in. for some reason i just cant open this thing with one hand. its tearing my thumb up. feel like the detent for the ball bearing is to deep or something?

did you have any trouble with your SR-1 Rainwalker?

Mine opens alright with one hand, although it does take slightly more effort than some, I actually like mine being a little tighter, but it sounds like yours may be a little tighter than mine. The SR-1's can be a little stiff compared to say a Chris Reeve, but I like the solid feel it has.

My suggestion would be to give it some oil and work the action regularly for a few days, it'll probably loosen up a little.

Also, might not be a bad idea to give that blade a good wiping down with a Tuff Cloth, the steel is a tool steel probably comparable to D2, so it will rust if not cared for properly.

Oh and congrats on the SR-1!!!

I was glad to run into Lion Steel at Blade this year, and I'm still EDCing my SR-1 everyday, it's still my favorite single blade folding knife!! I still only use it occasionally, but it's always there if I need it.

I've got a HEST and 0551 ordered. I currently EDC an Emerson 15. Whatever I like best I'll get another of and sell the others.

I have a question for you all. Are there any small "hard use" folders? The Gayle Bradley is nice, but big. I had looked a little at the Spyderco Endura with G10 and better liners, but it's got a full flate blade- not that thick sucker on the regular enduras. I figure the Caly 3.5 gets pretty thin too...

Any ideas, thoughts? Getting a folder bug lately. The zt 200 looks sweet too, but nothing small about it!

Nice Pics!!!

I can relate to your love at first sight on the SR-1, when I first saw them at Blade I tried to resist, and told myself to walk away and think about it, but I always returned to look again. I think I actually went back to it 4 times before I finally decided that this was The One. No matter what I looked at in around the same price range, I just could not find anything that compared, so I finally just gave in... I'm still glad that I did.
