I'll have to talk to the wife about that. We'll see. Were you able to check out any Bm's?

Here is a factory pic of it. The handle from end to end measures 4 3/4 inches for me and the blade from the handle (drawing a line from the pivot pin to the tip) measures 2 3/4 for me. It really fits in my hand nice!

Congrats on the Karambit, I've almost gotten one myself a couple of times in the past. I did pick up one of the FOX versions last year, it's pretty nice, and the wave on it was licensed by Emerson, which was good to know. I still want and Emerson version someday maybe.

Got my Combat Karambit, and I LIKE IT! I shouldn't have wasted the money but Patty said to consider it an Anniversayy (back in Dec), Christmas AND Birthday present. I can handle that!
Right on Randy!I'm glad you finally got it.
I found this pic of you doing the happy dance[Linked Image from i760.photobucket.com][Linked Image from i760.photobucket.com]

It's better to have it & not need it, than to need it & not have it.

That's a Beaut Randy, Nice Score! Now when you pocket carry that, the hook on the back of the blade should catch nicely on your pocket as you draw the knife, and BAM, blade is deployed! I was looking into some folding Karambits myself, I love my fixed blade Hibben, but the pressure point spikes on it sometimes catch my kidneys a bit. Sorta self defeating when you're pressure pointing yourself with it.

Pressure points? is that the sort of saw looking points on the spine? You can catch the WAVE on the back edge of the pocket without any thinking at all and it's open. IF you carry it with the WAVE forward, you got to tilt it to the outside of the pocket just a bit and pull and it's open.

ME LIKIE! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

NOW I just gotta figure out if the point faces toward you or away from you when it's open in your hand. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

If I had a Wave, I wouldn't use that spine as a PPCT focus point, I'd be seriously worried about the blade closing on my hand, or worse, I might accidentally cut the other person. That blade is specifically made for slashing defensive attacks.

Here's my Hibben
[Linked Image from i22.photobucket.com]

Sorry for the junk pic, took this one with my cell phone.

The two protuberances on the end next to the finger ring are intended for use as pressure point devices. They're opposite the blade, to prevent cutting the person you're trying to control, and one angles forward from my index finger for putting pressure at any angle. This blade is also double edged, allowing both fore and backhand swings. You can use a karambit in a blade forward (thumb side) grip, but for me that's more utilitarian, I don't like the way it feels. Defensively, they're primarily intended to be drawn like a pistol, with the blade trailing, and drawn across the body in a slashing motion. They damage they are capable of is tremendous, and you can imagine how difficult it is to disarm someone of a Karambit.

I had a SGT laugh at this blade once, until I demonstrated (without hurting) to him in a training environment just how fast I could do fatal damage to the major arteries in his body in one fluid motion. IMO, a Karambit is an unparalleled defensive weapon.
