My edc for a few weeks now: BM Barrage Warn edition in G10 scales, D2 blade and an axis-assist. While the axis blades are plenty fast without the assist , editions with the assist, lock open and shut for additional safety. After a bit of practice, I flick it locked after I shut it, and unlock it before I snap it open. I've only had a few knives with a tanto tip, but this one is seems more versatile than I expected.

Oh wow! Man Toney, that is NICE! I love the way they did the handle. That would be comfortable and looks like it should provide a nice gripping surface. Now IF they had just done something to the other side so it wasn't slick. Congrats on your score Toney. I am sure it will serve you well!

Holy smoke Jared, that hest is one sharp looking(ok, with the blade treatment kind of strange but alluring) knife. I think that I like the shape of it better than Toney's for a use it for anything knife. And I just noticed, the the relief cut out for the frame lock, where they have cut it down so it will bend in on the inside of Tonesters blade and on the outside of yours.

I have always been a fan of multitools for EDC. They're like little miniature tool boxes in your pocket. My biggest complaint, however, is that they usually do not use quality steel for the blades. I don't mind stainless for the tools, but prefer the blade to be a little better suited for cutting.

So, when I saw the Leatherman Skeletool CX with a 154cm blade, I didn't hesitate to buy it from the base exchange. I have been carrying it fo about a year and love the small size, only the basics features and cool look.

I also love the fact it can be opened with one hand without opening the pliers.
I have been in search of pocket toolbox with more tools for my day pack. So, I went to the Leatherman site to see their latest offerings and saw what I think is the ultimate multitool to date - Charge TTi.

Titanium scales (I'm a sucker for anything titanium), S30V clip point blade and diamond coated file, one handed opening of the blade and a smorgasbord of tools, nuff said in my book.

Just ordered one.
