Well the big news is the new skeleton handled Scrapivore is finally shipping. I'm sorry. I just don't like skellies. Every time I buy one, it just sits in a drawer some place. Put a handle on the darned thing, and I am ok with small fixed blades. But I must admit, that Scrapivore is the prettiest skelly yet. And for you skelly lovers, it is probably the best or right up there. In blades that size, I usually go with folders. I have really been impressed with the ZT folders. I got a good deal on a ZT0350 recently. Dogs, let me tell you, it's a LOT smaller than the ZT0300. Much more pocket friendly, too.

I got the partially serrated version. Recently, I have come to appreciate the versatility of such a blade. Serrated blades are great for rope or webbing. And they work just fine for fuzz sticks and such.

I am really pleased with the little ZT. It is light, fast, and sharp. And unlike its bigger brothers, it is a good pocket carry knife.

I like the looks of the 350. Same ZT lines and badness in a smaller set up.

Are all the 350's assisted openers and frame locks?

Mine is actually a liner lock with really thick liners. And yes, it is assisted opeining. Love it.

Benchmade Skirmish titanium framelock. Bigger than the ZT0301, but lighter.

I don't know about other companies designs but i really liked the way Kershaw serrated their blades. I had them on a Blur i picked up. Very sharp and made it easy to do up close detailed slicing with a shorter stroke. And like HD said it made quick work of anything with strands. Lasered right through packing straps like nothing.

I'm a Kershaw fan and would love to have at least one of every one of those recurve blades. the 0350 and the 0200 are high on the "to buy" list. My blur gets the job done just fine for now though.

Thanks. All these folders and I carry my Rat Trap mostly. I got a close out deal on that Skirmish from my gun dealer. It's big and bad.

For big blades, 5" and up, I prefer fixed blades. For everyday carry, it's always been folders for me.

Carry a fixed blade here and someone is liable to call the cops

I carry a ken onion kershaw for my EDC because I like the assisted open with the forefinger. I also like the slim design. I have a Lone wolf Harsey D2 auto but it is just too thick for me to carry. It is a great knife though.
