Thanks men. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif" alt="" />

I just pulled the trigger on a Benchmade 580 Barrage. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Warren Osbourne design,assisted opening...because I love Automatic blades! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

I like the Drop Point blade and the Satin finish Plain blade. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

I get agravated when I scrape up a TiKote or any kind of Black coating on a pocket knife. Don't care on fixed blades, just pocket knives. Odd but just me. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

Blade Length: 3.60"
Blade Thickness: 0.121"
Handle Thickness: 0.650"
Blade Material: 154CM Stainless Steel
Blade Hardness: 58-61HRC
Blade Style: Drop-Point; Ambidextrous Thumb-Studs
Weight: 4.20oz.
Pocket Clip: Reversible Bright Split Arrow
Lock Mechanism: AXIS-Assist
Overall Length: 8.35"
Closed Length: 4.75"

That's what BM says about it.
Never had a Axis lock knife before,I hope I like it. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crossfingers.gif" alt="" />

Thanks again,

Peace.

Nice Blade, PoP!!! Congrats!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

I really like 154cm for folders, just about my favorite steel for them. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

XM-24 is my overall fave (less the pivot). I held one back in '08, or '09. The right amount of blade and heft for mid-duty work. Might have to pick one up after all. Pivot of my SnG Gen 4 would always loosen at inopportune times, ditched it in favor of the Umnumzaan as my primary EDC. Love the 'Zaan pivot, no worries with it through thick and thin.

This sketch was posted on the Zero Tolerance/Hinderer Flipper thread by "Thomas W" of Kershaw. I don't make claims to its accuracy, but if it's the real deal. I will be in line for one.

Reported release at Blade 2011 in June

Well, after much waiting and anticipation (as well as worrying from Vic's post), I got my HEST Folder. I'm convinced HD's was a lemon. Mine opens as smooth as any frame lock knife I've ever had. The fit and finish is good (not custom quality, but it's a production knife) and the lockup is solid. Once I get some time, I'll take some pics of it with some other knives and post them. Oh, and the "bottle opener" seems pretty easy to "wave" the knife open with.

I am so glad you got a good one, dl351. The one I have now is a joy to carry and use. That first one had some serious problems.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Here's my para 2. I wondered about tip strength and it did this hole nicely in hard wood. This is a great blade!

Been a while since I perused the SAK line up. I ran across these two that really caught my eye. I carry a corkscrew in my bag, but I think I will replace it with one of these.

Like the top one JJ. About got one like it myself a couple weeks ago, still thinking about going back and picking it up. Never had a SAK, probably a good choice for a first one.

I had one when I was boy. I carried that thing everywhere. It was my first knife given to me by my father. I think it is in storage back home.

I like the top one too. I wish it wasn't serrated at the top of the blade though. I found was that wasn't, but it didn't have the cork screw. I will search some more, but I think I will have to go without the straight edge or without the cork screw.

I had posted this image in Skunk's SHTF folder thread thinking it was a photoshop job/joke. It may be a joke, but it is real and you can have on of your very own for $1,100. It isn't a Victorinox though. it is a Wenger.
